Antoinette was on stage at age 4 and was involved in musicals throughout her childhood and adult life. Has participated in choirs and performed with the Gilbert and Sullivan society for many years. Antoinette studied piano, classical guitar and taught Ukulele in the Halifax school system. She served as choir director and soloist at the Calvary Baptist church, for six years. Currently she is soloist and choir member of Bayers Road Baptist Church, in Halifax.
For the past six years Ms Alcorn has studied with the distinguished educator and accomplished performing and recording artist Jeri Brown. Ms Brown serves as Associate Professor of Music and Director of Vocal Studies at Concordia University in Montreal, while maintaining a presence in Halifax music community of Nova Scotia.
In her second CD, Antoinette delivers new styles with assurance, and conveys the gospel message with a refreshing directness. Her bright and clear singing brings Christmas home to our hearts.
