notes
Born in the Bronx and grew up on music.
That's the life story of Robert Cepeda a.k.a 3RD-DEGREE.
The rapper lived in the North East part of the Bronx until he moved to Atlanta at the age of 10,
even before the future M.C. picked up is first microphone he was fueled by his father a Drummer for the R&B group New Edition.
At the age of 15, 3rd-Degree really started to look at rapping as a career.
He started writing song after song and recording one after another on a karaoke machine.
After one summer of work 3rd had 60 songs recorded and 200 written.
Performing at local talent shows creating a small buzz as a hot M.C. but not enough that major labels would take notice.
In June of 2000 3rd moved back to his home town of the Bronx to peruse his musical dream,
after joining forces with his cousin also a Bronx rapper and two other fellow rappers from Harlem the 4 some called themselves The Specialist.
The Group decided to go there separate ways in early 2004 but to hook up later if one made it in the game. Now recording songs and still in pursuit of the ultimate prize a recording contract.
