The core of this unusual band comprises:
ALEX GRAYSON who plays guitars, sings lead & harmony and writes songs on subjects not tackled by well-balanced songwriters; and
LYNDON J CONNAH who plays keyboards, guitars, bass, percussion & kazoo, sings lead and harmony and writes songs, equally eccentric but very different.
So who is the 3rd Mouse? Well, there's this dude who plays drums and sings rather nicely. His name is SEAN KANE and he adds some much needed sex appeal to the line-up.
Often augmented by Andy Herbert (bass guitar), Ian Close (sax) and an assortment of guests, the music they create seems to inhabit a rocky road less travelled.
Influences include The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Stephen Sondheim, Led Zeppelin, Weather Report, Steely Dan & Thomas Dolby.
Comparisons, however, have also been made with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Abba meets the Pet Shop Boys (?!), Todd Rundgren, Ben Folds Five, Peter Gabriel, Genesis, Bruce Hornsby, Talking Heads, XTC, Simon & Garfunkel, Crowded House, etc..
Get the picture? Neither do we!
So what can you expect to hear on this CD? Well....
* Music for people who can't make up their minds, bless 'em.
* Songs that make you go "ping!"
* The musical equivalent of Disneyland (Paris).
* Music that goes up.... and down..... and up..... and stops.
* Songs that go.... wiggybambamstingbucketwormhole.
* Songs that go.... la la la de da da ow! get your leg out of my mulcher.

A testament to how good they have become
author: Gareth Howells
This album is a testament to how good they have become; the harmonies, the tight arrangements, the full on rock sound combined with the pop sensibility with an occasional nod to some acoustic influences.
The lyrics are superb throughout and the vocals from Alex and Lyndon are strong, passionate and varied.
The songs:
Your Face Is Not Enough:
Great display of the band sound, and the first indication of how good they are at writing lyrics.
Dead Penguin:
Classic pop song; guaranteed to get people plugging in their air guitars.
Kolysanka:
Lovely surprise, hadn't heard this live...in fact, can I hear this live please?
Derek Malone:
Nice Colin Moulding bounce to it - again nice lyrics.
The Word:
This one got my son dancing about the room in funny ways - and singing along with a grin on his face - and it feels good....to sing it!
I'm So Tired:
Excellent rock song - shows a different side to the band: in the same way as Swagman does - which doesn't
