OUR FANCY BIOGRAPHY!!

There is really not a whole lot to say. We have been working our butts off for about eight years now. The music we have written most recently, "Opening A can Of Whoop Ass On Ya Mom's!", is truly only the beginning. In the past we have gotten screwed, scammed or ripped off one way or another by just about everyone in the industry! Our music has received nominations for "Outstanding: Urban/Funk/Hip Hop Awards and has also been recognized by the National Recording Academy/Grammy's Association for song writing craftsmanship.

Individually and as a group we have toured Nationally and had the great opportunity to perform in some of the dumpiest, run down excuses for a venue.... We hope to one-day play our cards right and get to point "B".

    In the aftermath of Rap/Rock clones and "I hate my parents" radio rock comes a breath of fresh air. Blending funk styled rhythms and grooves with a unique almost rappish vocal style is what 2 Phat and the Family Funktion brings to the table. I believe that there should be more music like this in the world. I am on my 2nd CD now and planning to purchase the rest of the collection. The sample tracks are great but some of the other tracks are destined for real airplay worldwide.

The group has a twist of beastie boys, alternative rock and a touch of funk that culminates into an intersting mix. The talent of this group certainly is apparent here.     I don't really care too much for hip hop a whole lot. But this to me is not your standard hip hop. This is a refreshing direction of sound. I think if you like hip hop, alternative, rock or even funk music than you should for sure have this awsome CD to rock to. The packaging is equally as impressive. All lyrics included...I like that! This is a badass CD I hope to hear more soon!
