notes
2NU has always been about redefining new music, trends and perceptions, and that is not surprising. Especially to those who have followed the Seattle based band since they exploded on to the national scene with their eclectic and critically acclaimed 1991 Atlantic Records debut and #44 Billboard Top 100 Single, THIS IS PONDEROUS.
Recent Successes such as Shawn Mullin's "Lullaby" and the Sunscreen Song indicate that seeds planted by 2NU almost a decade ago have finally taken root.
The 12-song LP presents the far broader range of this unique group. Still present are the surrealistic story telling, spoken-word songs such as THE SUBMARINE, THE LEGEND and THE ISLAND. However, this highly produced work introduces a more serious side of 2NU with songs such as ZEN'D LULLABY, a sobering statement in light of tragedies such as the school shootings in Arkansas, Colorado and Atlanta. There is also the reflective nature of songs such as A FATHER'S DAY and "32".

More 2NU
author: AdamWhat more could you ask for, more 2NU. These are just great songs to listen to when you just want a nice relaxing music.
GREAT CD!
author: ChristyThis CD is great I have listened to it non stop for weeks now! I am hoping there will be another one someday!
Great!
author: MarkA great album! It's fun and dreamlike and it really brings me back to the early 90s when I heard songs from their first album on the radio.
Fantastic!
author: Tom P.After having craved the return of 2nu for 15 years (shudder!), this CD is worth the wait! It's smarter, more articulate and deeper feeling than the original, and just as much fun! If you liked the original, you will love the sequel even more! Looking forward to the next project (hopefully NOT 15 years away!)
Better Than You Know
author: GarryMy favorite cd out of all of my collection. As said by others, humorous, saddening, introspective, and just plain enjoyable. Will be in line for their next release.
Poetry, music, humor: makes you think, makes you smile.
author: SusanThis CD is another winner from 2nu. Love everything about their second album. Just reading the words provides enjoyment. The music they use is apropos for each song. Best spoken word CD since Ponderous. Like Ponderous, this CD will make you think, make you laugh, maybe cry, but definitely smile. Kudos 2nu!!
It's a trip
author: Jason MillerIt's a strong album that manages to keep track of itself while sweeping and swaying all over the place. Contains serious tracks, contains silly tracks, contains the most heart-wrenchingly beautiful bit of fatherhood poetry I've ever heard. Emphasis on spoken word tracks. I recommend it.
Much more song-like tracks than the first album, but the 2NU spirit lives on.
author: Allen HuffmanAfter catching "The is Ponderous" on the radio when it was first released ages ago, I became a 2NU fan. This album has a different feel to it -- more "songs" than the original release, but The Voice comes thru as the 2NU I was familiar with. Tracks 10, 11 and 12 are my favorites, since they contain much of the humor that I enjoyed about the original Ponderous-album songs. The production value is top notch (very bass heavy in parts) and I've found at least one song I keep listening too over and over. If you are not familiar with 2NU, I have no idea what you could compare them to. Fun music with vocals, often with a warped sense of humor. Good and fun stuff.
Somewhere between the band YELLO and BILL NELSON
author: RoadjoeSomewhere between the bands YELLO and BILL NELSON. Very atmospheric with a nice blend of spoken word and female vocals, which carry you to another dimension.
Blinding stuff
author: HillbillA unique album - I've heard nothing like it really. There is a lot of emotion and feeling buried here......
A real head sucker!
author: Angel Davis - Sheheshe Music ServicesThis CD will pull your head right into the monitors the first time you listen to it. Once heard, you will want to hear it again and again. Worth the money and more!!!
