Voted Nashville, TN Out and About favorite band of 2006 these chix will rock your world. Native to the Boston, Massachusetts area, Jess Leary and Laura Darling now reside in "Music City USA," Nashville, Tennessee.

Touring as 2 Chix & a Drum, both Jess and Laura are accomplished musicians, writers and performers. They mesmerize the crowds with their great songs and exciting shows, are well received and always leave you wanting more. They are a strong writing team evident on their new CD entitled "Nights at the Lipstick Lounge", which was inspired by their many performances at the popular hot spot in Nashville.

Leary's previous songwriting credits include two #1 songs, Tim McGraw's, "Where The Green Grass Grows" and Pam Tillis' "Mi Vida Loca" (My Crazy Life). She also scored a top 10 with Lari White's "Ready, Willing and Able." Leary has toured as a backup vocalist/guitarist with Reba McEntire, Garth Brooks and Faith Hill. Darling's talent is endless with her unparalled ability as a percussionist, vocalist and harmonica player. Her presence is extremely smashing on stage.

    WOW! What a great bluesy rock sound. Great lyrics, melodies, guitar riffs, and awesome harmonica. I loved it. Can't wait to see them live and up close. Hope to see them in Eureka Spgs. soon.

    Can't someone help me send this cd to "L WORD"?, Lookout Club is soooooo needed by those ladies! If you were in Eureka Springs, Arkansas on the first weekend in November, the ladies blew the roof off "The AUD"! The music and lyrics are hot and done very professionally! These ladies are classy, intellegent and should be one their way to the top! Hope to see you in Eureka Springs, Arkansas again.

    Jess & Laura remind me of Ann & Nancy Wilson -- Heart -- same tight harmonies, same great voices & music. The recording borders on being over-produced -- too much instrumental for my taste. Too many guitars, and that's says something, since I'm a guitar fanatic. They obscure the great vocals & lyrics in some places. That being said -- I'd recommend this CD to anyone. The 1st & last songs are my favorites, but the rest are fantastic, as well. The music is very "danceable." The lyrics are all words & thoughts that every Lesbian can relate to. On a scale of 1-10, I give it a 12. I can't wait to see them in person in Eureka Springs.

    My, how 2 CHIX & a DRUM ROCK!! Jess Leary & Laura Darling are hit-makers for sure. Cue up "Mercy Dance" or "Nothing Left Unbroken" and I'm sure you'll agree. As a matter of fact, after repeated listenings, I must say there's not one track on NIGHTS AT THE LIPSTICK LOUNGE that wouldn't make my personal "Hit List!" While the gutsy blues of "Her Harmonica" aches with passionate sensuality, the sensitive ballad "Paradise" goes straight to the heart, bringing tears to my eyes. I say go hear 2 CHIX & a DRUM perform live whenever you can and meanwhile, put this CD in your cart to bring their music home to you! It's great!!

    Congrats to 2 Chix! Their best work thus far. Husky, raw, rockin' sound on upbeat songs and sultry, smoky and smooth on power ballads. My personal favorite, "Mercy Dance". Can't stop the toes tappin' on this one. Great vocals. Put your cd settings on 'repeat' and enjoy...

    Nights at the Lipstick Lounge has something for everyone. Geared up rockin blues, great lyrics and beautiful voices. Paradise comes from somewhere else all together. Very ethereal. The other tunes are planted in a more earthly realm. Gritty good lounge type fair. Keep up the great work girls.

    I know Jess and Laura very well here in Nashville. The song One Last Cigarette is a hit hit hit !! So far that tune has captivated me, and I cannot wait to listen to the rest of this CD. These girls are the real deal at crafting tunes that grab you. Buy this CD.You will love it.

    I was at the Lipstick Lounge the night of the CD release and got to hear it live! The whole performance was incredible!!! I haven't taken the CD out of my player since I bought it and listen to it everyday. It's sexy & sultry and well, you know what I mean. If you don't, then buy it and you'll understand.... Every song on it is excellent and it's a must have CD.
