Merging two of the most prolific areas in Christian hip hop, Dallas and St. Louis, as well as 5 of the most sought after Emcees, comes the latest release from Reach Records: 116 Clique:The Compilation Album. Already released on the underground this summer, many fans call the album the hottest compilation album they have ever heard. Blending the styles of the South, Midwest, and East Coasts, this album is sure to stay in the CD player and get plenty of spins for years to come.

Laying down biblically solid, Christ-centered lyrics coupled with infectious beats that keep you coming back for more, the artists on the 116 Clique album wasted no time in making the God they serve known to the world. Lecrae hails from Dallas and currently has a solo album out called “Real Talk”, already distributed through Provident after the partnership with Cross Movement Records. Tedashii, also from Dallas, brings a distinctive southern flow that boldly proclaims his faith. Another Dallas artist, Sho, flows with a east coast style speaks to your soul. From St. Louis, Json, donates one of the hottest tracks on the album showing fans that Christians live a distinctive lifestyle. And rounding out the artist list is Thi’sl, also from St. Louis, whose undeniably raw sound and in your face flow encourages listeners to act on what they believe.

    This CD is killa!! You will be surprised how great this CD is. 116 goes hard on every song. They keep every line about Christ. I knew it would be hot just from hearing the 116 intro "if you ain't ashamed to represent holla one one six/We FOTU wit it/the fellowship of the unashamed/is you wit it?" i mean really this is better than lil jon and all them dudes. it'll make you wonder why you used to listen to secular rap. this CD is great for people of all ages, especially teens if you're trying to get them to listen to christian music, there's no reason for anyone not to like this. Every beat is better than the ones you'll hear on secular radio and personally i think they sound better than TI, 50, young joc or whoever else. trust me, you NEED this in your collection!!     I would have given it 5 but a couple of songs could have been better, but it is definetely worth the money for the whole first half of the album. Towards the end the beats kind of sounded lacking and kind of the same. Impressed is a good song but is kind of boring because of the beat. Kingdom People and Hurr They Come aren't that good either. But the rest of the album is tight. It's definetly worth the money because of the songs "I See The Lord" "Love Song" "Stand Walk Dance" "Fanatics" and "In Ya Hood" "Streets" and "Act Out" those are songs you won't forget. The Crossover Remix is good too.

    You wouldn't suspect us to love rap but we do and this cd is so encouraging. It corrects and exorts and it encourages with psalms and hymths and spiritual songs that sing and make a melody unto our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray for them and I praise God for this ministry and the work I see it do in the lives of new believers and in my own life. Did I mention that Lecrae's Real Talk and When the Music Stops are also AWESOME!?

    I wish I could give this joint 10 stars it was so tight. The only thing I didn't like about this CD was the fact that it ended. I listen to a lot of Christian Hip- Hop and this is one of the tightest all around groups to date. I like the fact that they are more concerned with being ambassadors for Christ than being the 1st Christian Hip-Hop group to go Platinum. If you know anybody who likes rap they'll love this. I don't think it's a cat out here who want dig these cats; Christian or not. Peace.
